Halfords for repairs

Postby Philip. on Mon Apr 14, 2008 8:14 pm

hi dont know what has happened cant seem to sign in.....

however. Took bike to Halfords as I chickened out replacing both tubes.
Many tire levers later they managed but I notice the valve on the front wheel is facing clockwise is this OK :?:

Also does the rear post locking clamp go down over the bottom tube before locking, :?: doesnt on mine.

There is a bit of play at the crossbar joint I have tightened this slightly but makes little difference is this normal :?:

any help would be appreciated

I don't want to derail your post on how to repair.
If it happens again could you start a thread about it in the Off Topic forum here?

point1. if the valve doesn't bother the rotation of wheel, it's okay. did you use official A-bike tube?

point2. i don't quite get what's going on. could you explain a bit further?

point3. it should be fine, but did the repair people disassemble it???

I'm amazed to know halfords accepted to fix A-bike!! :o

Pedal needed for my A-Bike

Postby kai_paulden on Fri Apr 25, 2008 10:24 am

The pedal is damaged and needs replacing on one of my A-Bikes - can anyone tell me from where I can find a replacement?

Hi just register to this forum and use search for "pedal". Should give you enough info. You can get the original from your official supplier or you can buy something different from elsewhere.
