A-Bike versus CarryMe ridability? anyone tried both?

Postby callagga on Fri Nov 04, 2011 8:41 pm

Has anyone ridden both the CarryMe and the A-Bike with 8" wheels?

Is the rideability of the A-Bike ok in comparison? I assume it wouldn't be as good, but is it still reasonable? For example if the road was a little wet would the A-Bike slip around more and not be as safe? What about hitting a little patch of gravel?

I'm interested in the A-Bike but still have some worries about rideability/safety...

Background - interested in fold-a-bike to take on train for commute each day - so just 1-2km at either end - wanted the lightest/most collapsible.

Although I haven't ridden an 8" wheeled A-bike myself, my comparison between the 1st generation 6" wheeled A-bike and the CarryMe DS is still a useful reference for you.
