A-Bikes for sale soon... Register your interes - LOW PRICE

Postby Direct_Sales on Mon Mar 10, 2008 10:25 pm

Dear all,

I have deleted the initial post while I research further in to the details of the product and see if it is genuine. I have the following responses which I would like to add about comments being made:

That Direct-Sales don't give name of factory could indicate one should not buy them.

I am only new to the world of A-Bikes and have only recently been reading about them mainly on this website. As stated, this thread was for interest only as I am not selling the bikes yet. I have no specific details as it is a friend of mine that does dropshipping which was helping me.

Alibaba list numerous factories who make faked versions of A-bike and they seems not to be shy to say their names address and phone number. So why does Direct_Sales hide his resource?

As stated above, there is nothing to hide it is just the fact that I don't have that information yet!

To sell faked a-bikes seems to be to breach that agreement?

I would definitely never knowingly sell fake A-Bikes, especially due to the safety and legal aspects!

To use this forum to gather customers behind secure PM seems to be abusive of the generosity and sense of fair play of the owner of the forum.

The idea for PM'ing was not meant to appear as sly or discreet, it was simply an idea for users to get a quick personal reply.

Thanks

The old version is sold out in England.

If you talk about a supply they don't know about
then which factory are you referring to here?

If your an approved A-bike dealer then you should be able to identify yourself.

Hi there,

As I said, this is not an England supply. The bikes are made in China and will be sent directly from there.

Thanks

errr... Mr. Direct_Sales, I don't want to offend you or anything, but have you contacted DAKA? They are the one controling who can supply genuine A-bike to where sort of thing, so it's better to speak to them to make sure everything is right, if you haven't. 'cos, one wrong step could make anybody end up in court room.

We had one Australian shop who made a deal with a chinese factory, claiming what they supply is genuin A-bikes. In this case, unfortunately the chinese claim wasn't true and the Australian had to withdraw his own A-bike shop website and all. I don't know the guy managed to get compensation from chinese or not.

Chinese people's mind set is unique in a way. Now if you go to a trade show in China, you might see several companies officially presenting A-bike counterfeit as one of many their proud products. If we go up and ask them about the authenticity of the bike, all of them would say

"Of course, it's genuine!!"

no doubt about it. For them, it's genuine in their own way -- it's just not Sinclair.

This is a funny world.

I am not sure but maybe they still have not signed some document that protect design and such. Hong Kong though seems to protect A-bike.

As I remember we had a thread where Amuro told about a News text about one such clamp down on a shop selling fake a-bikes.

Here in Sweden it is not allowed either to sell them.
I'm surprised that a firm in USA sold the faked ones.
I thought they had such laws to protect patent and such.

Yes it is "genuin" to them kind of. Maybe they belonged to those
who was asked if they wanted to make them and they got access
to the genuine blue prints so they make copies that are very close
to but not identical in quality. Would still be illegal as I get it.

Unless their local region allow such. But how long does such laws
be an exception. Next year maybe they too get included in the
worldwide support of regulation on what is ok to do.

That Direct-Sales don't give name of factory could indicate one should
not buy them. Factories are usually very proud of the products they makes so they would willingly tell their name to get reputation.

Alibaba list numerous factories who make faked versions of A-bike and they seems not to be shy to say their names address and phone number. So why does Direct_Sales hide his resource?

No offense intended from me either but this is not the standard way to get customers. Openness is the way to go.

In all friendliness.

Here is an example that maybe is related.
Some parts of China seems to not care about
such laws we care about.

Strida is owned by Ming Cycles as far as I know.

But look at this bike made and sold by Longwise model LW-B02
http://longwise.en.alibaba.com/group/0.html

http://longwise.en.alibaba.com/product/50162097/200703514/Electric_Bicycle/LW_B02_bicycle.html

I guess Amuro and all of you have linked to it or mention it before.
I am rather new to the forum so I have not been here since start.

And this one is not alone either. I've seen at least a few more while I
looked for Carryme or copies of Carryme. Which it seems there is none now at the moment.

People have told me that there used to be a copy from main land China
but maybe to few bought it so they most likely gave up and make other bikes.

Thanks for doing that edit of your first post in this thread.

Knowing if they have the same quality as the new version could
be important for potential buyers too. Many of the fakes have
very poor mechanical quality. A youtube video show how they
flex very much in the joints and owners have told us how they
break too easily.

Maybe there are fakes with good quality but how does one find out.
Those who owns them don't tell so one have no info and it doesn't
feel good buying such either. At least me hesitate.

Maybe it is ok to buy them in main land China they could have older laws that allow such copies and sell them but it could be illegal to do it outside of China due to international laws. To buy in China and sell abroad have to be illegal as far as I get it.

Two different dealers here in Sweden had to stop doing it to not get
fines for trying to do it. It did cost them a lot of money to not be able to
sell off the bikes they already bought. So do find out what apply in your
country.
