I’ve recently come across microfinance funds and found the concept quite interesting, especially for those looking for relatively stable returns with a social impact angle. These funds usually invest in microfinance institutions that provide small loans to individuals and small businesses, particularly in underserved areas. From what I understand, they tend to offer moderate returns with lower volatility compared to equity funds, which makes them appealing for conservative investors. At the same time, they’re also contributing to financial inclusion, which is a nice added benefit.
