Anyone wanna see a SmartCog - KOMA 3 Speed?

Any conversations, not related to A-Bike at all.

Neither do I! :)

I should use the search but I feel more motivated to do other things.

I remember vaguely that you or somebody else did link to a text about dealers, local chop owners who had sold faked A-bikes in Hong Kong and they got the supply confiscated and themselves take to the Police station if I remember.

I menton it cause it struck me that why did they take them and doesn't seem to care about numerous others that openly tell about their making and selling of them.

so something must be different about them. Could it be they don't claim they are the makers of the Original A-bike? what else could explain it?

Because the laws and jurisdictions are different between mainland China and Hong Kong SAR, I think.
(Those who openly tell about their making and selling of counterfeit A-bikes are in mainland China.)

Besides, our legal systems and concepts about law are different too.
Mainland China - Continental law
Hong Kong SAR - Common law
Mainland China - Rule by law/rule of men
Hong Kong SAR - Rule of law

Those created a lot of legal/political conflicts between us in the past 10 years.

That seems to be a very accurate description.
Typical of me not knowing such differences.

Here in Europe we have different laws in different
regions too. But the EU central tray to "harmonize"
every law so they should be enforced all over.

Car license and traffic regulations. You Moped Moppet?
and Vespa and Motorbikes and such all have different
rules in different regions so they had some years for us
to adjust to these should be compatible in future.

We had limit of 30 kmtrs per hour of the Moped but the
EU Moped had 45kmtres limit so they where illegal here locally.

Same with Cars. France had small Cars that didn't need any
driver license. Not allowed here so we had to change our law
to make Sweden compatible.

So in China then it is only a matter of time until they have
laws on copyright and protection of design pattern?

They have to adjust to be able to sell outside of China?

I still wish that the company in China that made a 8" version
of A-bike could make their own design so we who are tall and
heavy will be able to buy a strong small bike that is easy to
take with us on a crowded bus and train.

A-bike is very smart that way that it folds so small.

Did not the Designer of A-bike promise that they have
no motivation to make that bigger version.

So I hope the company that made the bigger version could
put some energy into doing enough changes so the result
will be legal and thus a possible success due to being the
just a bit bigger than the smallest folder.

Wah!! Such a different colour. And with Aero Handlebars too. Hmmm, I'm very curious what sort of speed this rider produces.

Thanks for the posting Amuro Lee

Norman

Now this thing looks sweet! I do like how it folds and stows away nicely and actually looks quite comfortable (from what I've read the suspension helps a lot on rough roads).
