I confirmed it is back to normal now.
(At the time of my post, it was closed for sure.)

FYI, this is a part of the customer service policy of the shop:

Code: Select all
Contact US

Please send email to Customer Service Center to contact us. Our Customers Service representatives will make every effort to respond to your email within 24 hours.

Every report on a Japanese BBS says there is no response within a couple of days.
I have now waited for 6 days without any contact from them by now.
This shop is really irresponsible indeed.

I'm sorry to hear about that.
Have you tried sending an e-mail to MHM instead of Noble Hall?

I finally got a package from HK Noble Hall.
But unfortunaltely, after having waited for 18 days, what I got from Jason, the man at the shop, was a wrong part.
I ordered a front gear assembly with a clear picture of the part as well as a picture of my broken one. It is quite apparent that everyone comprehends what is needed to be replaced. But he sent me a middle gear, which now mine seems to be working good. (I know the middle gear is very fragile and there some users suffering from it.)
Now my A-bike has been totally broken. The front gear was broke down and the cranks move back and forth with wheels moving back and forth accordingly. I need to wide-open my legs when I run down a slope, during when the cranks are automatically go running without my pedaling! Picking up the pedals when the slope is getting flat is just tricky and dangerous. Otherwise I have to keep pedals turning round while I want to go any farther. What a nice bike!!!

I can run my A-bike backwards too now!!! :D :D :D

JJ

I share your problem. The freewheel for the front crank does break. newcross pasted a picture in the posting about my troubles. I pulled the gear apart and repacked the bearings, there are also suggestions for replacing the A-Bike freewheel with one from another supplier.

A-Bike should simply replace the bike (which is what they did for me) With my little episode, the front freewheel, the centre cog, the axle on the housing and the front chain all broke. I suspect your situation may not be too different since the amount of torque on these parts are extreme and once allignment goes then there is very little support for the parts to operate without damage.

Good service makes a good company and as A-Bike ambassadors as well as real world testers A-Bike simply needs to support us. Which they do!

E-mail reply from the management of MHM

Postby Amuro Lee on Thu Apr 19, 2007 3:34 am

Here is the e-mail reply from the management of MHM:

Subject: RE: A lot of bad comments about the service of www.abike-shop.com
Date: Thu, 19 Apr 2007 11:17:23 +0800
From: "Lewis" <mhm@xxxxxxxx.hk>
To: "'Amuro Lee'" <amurolee@xxxxxx.com>
CC: <mhm@mhm.biz.com.hk>, "'Jason Lee'" <jason@innovation-outlet.com>

The www.abike-shop.com website has been revived and back in operation, sorry for the disappointment since Noble Hall has undergone much management change during the last couple of months. Thank you for your understanding and continuing support. We will try our best to improve the service.

Yours truly,
Customer Service

Dear Amuro,

May I know the last status for this shop? Is it still receiving many complaint or not because that's the only online shop I can found in Asia (FYI, I'm in Indonesia) :D

Regards,
AJ

Hi AJ,

As the online shop is now run by MHM, the local distributor of A-bike here in Hong Kong, instead of the notorious Noble Hall, I haven't seen such complaints here for a long time.

If you still worry about it, I think you can email them for asking for the details before you really buy the product from the online shop.

Best regards,
Amuro
